MEETING MINUTES

The regular monthly meeting of the Brazos Valley Chapter, TCA was held on November 7, 2011.

Attending:  Alfonso Gonzalez CEC, Luis Becerra CEC, and Denise Wood

Guests:  Fabian Rodriguez and Richie from Hullabaloo Diner

Call to Order:  Alfonso Gonzalez CEC called the meeting to order.

Minutes:  Minutes were read and approved.

New Business:  Discussion for Christmas Party-to be held at La Riviera at 7 pm.  This will be a 4 course meal prepared by Chef Gonzalez, CEC.  Vendors who help us during the year will be invited. 
Help with donation for Thanksgiving.  SOS Ministries provides meals and Chef Rodriguez will volunteer to help cook.
Family for Christmas was discussed. 
Local dues were talked about.  Paying them and benefit of paying them. 
Anniversary for the Association was mentioned and Chef Gonzalez CEC is going to find out when that is.  Chef Wood said this was a great time for members to gift the association with stamps, envelopes etc for mail sent out.  CEC or letter designations will follow names.  Website-need to be updated with pictures, recipes and what is happening.

Attending:  Denise Wood, Luis Becerra CEC, and Alfonso Gonzalez CEC.

Call to Order:  Alfonso Gonzalez CEC called the meeting to order at 2:05 pm.

Minutes:  No prior minutes were submitted. 

New Business:  Chef Shawn Cooley resigned his position as Director of Brazos Chapter.  Alfonso Gonzalez CEC will take over as Acting Director until end of current term.  

Old Business:  Mushroom Festival is October 21.  Menu is divided and talked over.  Chef Alfonso is going to do the desserts.  Chef Luis is going to do the salad, dressing and bread.  Chef Denise is going to make the meat at the day of on site, make the mushroom ravioli and asparagus.  Chef Fabian is doing the red wine reduction demi glace, French Onion Soup.  Each demo person will be paid $100.  Two people that Chef Denise will bring to help will be paid.  Blue Baker was unable to make the donation of the bread this year.  A sheet of paper was passed around and everyone put there contact info on it. 

Adjournment:  Motion was made to adjourn meeting at 3:13 pm
